Mikko Pajunen continues the battle in the British Championship

The promising Finn attacks the Welsh roads with victory in mind

Mikko Pajunen is ready for the next British Championship event at the
weekend. The Finn came second in the opening round and now he aims to
return to the form that saw him winning last year. Pajunen and his
co-driver Jani Salo compete in the Autosport Technology R2 class
Renault Clio.

- I came over to England last weekend and we have been working very
hard with the team. We had an excellent test on Monday, concentrating
particularly on the suspension. We found lots of different things that
will make the car better to drive and more suitable for my style of
driving. I am feeling good. We have one goal, which is to do better
than last time, says Pajunen.

The Bulldog Rally has traditionally followed the same route as the
Wales Rally. However, this year there are no WRC stages included in
the event. Also the classic Myherin and Sweet Lamb are missing.

- Compared to last year there are only three same stages this year,
and those three are going to the other direction. So we have to make
new pacenotes. It is a shame that Myherin and Sweet Lamb are missing.
They are great stages and my favourites, tells Pajunen.

The Bulldog Rally centres around Welshpool. There are 10 stages. There
is also another Finn competing, Jussi Kumpumäki.
