Mikko Pajunen won´t take part in the Finnish Rally Championship event in Kouvola on Saturday. Pajunen and his co-driver Kaj Lindström have been driving the Finnish championship in Tommi Mäkinen Racings Subaru Impreza. The duo is third in the four-wheel drive category standings. The last event in Lapua ended with a roll.

- We have decided, partly due to cost, to concentrate on the rallies abroad for the rest of the season. It seems like the most sensible solution at this stage. We will skip at least the Kouvola event, says Pajunen.

In addition to the Finnish championship, Pajunen and Lindström have also been competing in the Italian championship in a Renault Twingo Evo. Three of the five events have been on asphalt and two on gravel. Pajunen has won his category three times and is leading the Twingo Cup.

- The next event of the Cup is San Remo. It is also part of IRC. Our aim is to try to drive another IRC event as well, says Pajunen.
